These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to Island Words – Caribbean Word Search (“Island Words”, “the app”), a word search game published by YaadRoc (“we”, “us”). By downloading or playing Island Words, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Using the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and play Island Words on Android devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial entertainment. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app or its content, except where the law expressly allows it.
2. Content and ownership
The app, including its puzzles, word lists, island facts, artwork, design and code, is owned by YaadRoc or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Island facts are provided for fun and general interest. We try to keep them accurate but do not guarantee that every fact is complete or up to date.
3. Game progress and in-game coins
Your progress, stars, coins and settings are stored only on your device. There is no account or cloud backup, so uninstalling the app or clearing its data can erase your progress permanently, and we cannot restore it. In-game coins are earned by playing, have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or exchanged, and can only be used inside the app.
4. Remove Ads purchase
Island Words offers one optional one-time purchase, Remove Ads, sold through Google Play. All payments, billing and refunds are handled by Google Play under its own terms and refund policy. Remove Ads removes the banner ad and the between-island ads; the rest of the game stays the same. You can restore the purchase on another device signed in to the same Google account using “Restore purchases” in the app.
5. Advertising
The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for the content of ads or for any products, services or websites they link to. How ad data is handled is explained in our Privacy Policy.
6. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information the app does and does not collect. It forms part of these Terms.
7. Acceptable use
Please do not use the app in any unlawful way, try to interfere with its normal operation, or tamper with in-app purchases, ads or game data to gain an unfair advantage.
8. Updates and availability
We may update, change or remove features or content, and we may stop offering the app at any time. Some updates may be required to keep using the app.
9. Disclaimer
Island Words is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted or compatible with every device.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YaadRoc will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of game progress or data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the Remove Ads purchase, if any. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded, including the laws of your country of residence.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows when they last changed. If you keep using the app after a change, the updated Terms apply.
